This privacy statement applies to the processing of personal data in the course of our global business activities. This includes the processing of personal data through our website newcold This privacy notice provides information about the categories of personal data we collect, why we collect it, what we do with it, how we protect it and what your rights are.
NewCold is the so-called data controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation ("AVG"). Collection and processing of your personal data
We process personal data of (contacts at) our customers, suppliers and other relations, students and job applicants, and visitors to our websites. We obtain personal data i) from you, ii) from third parties (such as customers, suppliers and supply chain partners) or iii) from public sources, such as the Trade Register of the Chamber of Commerce.
Personal data we may process are:
- basic information such as your first and last name, title, gender;
- contact information such as your e-mail address, mailing address, phone number, the company you work for and your position;

Marketing and Acquisition
We use your personal data to send newsletters, event invitations and other marketing communications that may be relevant to you, as well as in connection with a (registration for) one of our marketing events. After an event, we may also contact you for feedback.
Performance of an agreement
We process your personal data as necessary in connection with the products or services we provide, including the exchange of data for quotations, the execution and completion (including invoicing) of an order, service request or assignment.
Compliance with legal obligations

The data you share with us when applying (by email/mail, via the application form on our website or via social media) or that we receive through recruiters is processed by us in order to contact you as part of our application procedures. We also process your data when (registering for) an internship at one of our branches.
Access Control and Security
For security purposes (e.g. evacuation in case of emergencies), we keep a visitor list at our locations. These lists are destroyed at the end of the day. We also use camera surveillance to protect the property and safety of our employees and visitors. Use and improvement of our website
We process statistical data about your visit and use of our website to analyze and improve the content, layout and usability of our website.
Other processing
We may also process your data for customer satisfaction surveys or to handle inquiries or complaints.

We process your personal data based on one or more of the following legal grounds:

Please note that individuals' rights under the AVG are subject to certain restrictions and are not always granted. A request may be denied in part or in whole because of these limitations, such as legal obligations, third-party rights and NewCold's legitimate interests. If we are unable to honor a request, we will notify you, giving reasons.
To the extent that the processing of your personal data is based on consent, you have the right to withdraw this consent at any time. However, the withdrawal of your consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing based on the consent before the withdrawal.
In the EU, citizens have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory data protection authority. All information you provide to us through our websites is stored on servers within the European Economic Area (EEA). If necessary, we may share information with our affiliated companies within and outside the EEA.
